Hello, I'm Cienya Constantineau, the Founder of Leora Leather. My journey as a designer is rooted in a deep sense of place. Growing up among the rugged beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and spending summers surrounded by the luminous warmth of Greece, I learned to see the world through textures, layers, and quiet details. These landscapes shaped not only my love for beauty, but also my reverence for craftsmanship, resilience, and timelessness.

Ten years ago, I found my home in California, where the soft glow of ocean sunrises and sunsets often transports me back to Greece~ the gentle hues of the sky, the way light drapes over the horizon, the feeling of warmth that lingers long after the sun fades. These moments remind me that inspiration is everywhere, woven into the rhythm of nature and memory. Every piece I create carries fragments of these places~ mountains, sea, sunlight~ stitched into its form.

I am a self-taught designer and maker, guided by curiosity, patience, and the quiet discipline of working with my hands. Each Leora Leather bag and boot is handcrafted with care using premium, responsibly sourced materials. I design with intention, honoring the leather by creating pieces that are not only functional but also enduring~ meant to be lived with, worn proudly, and passed down through generations.

My work is influenced by the elegance of the Art Deco era, where form and function meet with grace. But at its heart, my craft is about connection: to the material, to the story behind each piece, and to the person who will carry it forward. I believe that true beauty lies not in perfection, but in longevity, authenticity, and the subtle marks that tell a story over time.

What began as a love for design has become a calling~ to create objects that hold meaning, that feel like companions on life’s journey. I am deeply grateful to share this vision with you and to invite you into the world of independent artisanship.
